Mathematics

The High-school mathematics program includes the 9th through 12th grade math courses as follows:

  • 9th grade Algebra I

  • 10th grade Geometry

  • 11th grade Algebra II

  • 12th grade Pre-calculus

The objectives of the mathematics program are to teach our students:

  1. a variety of strategies to solve problems
  2. to understand and apply properties of numbers
  3. to develop skills of computation and estimation
  4. to use a variety of techniques and tools for measurement
  5. to understand and apply basic and advanced concepts of  Geometry
  6. to apply concepts of statistics
  7. to understand and use basic and advanced concepts of Algebra and Trigonometry
  8. to understand the nature and uses of mathematics in the real world
  9. to understand and use correct mathematics language

We prepare our students to succeed in taking the college entrance exams and the first math course they take in college.
