Mathematics
The High-school mathematics program includes the 9th through 12th grade math courses as follows:
- 9th grade Algebra I
- 10th grade Geometry
- 11th grade Algebra II
- 12th grade Pre-calculus
The objectives of the mathematics program are to teach our students:
- a variety of strategies to solve problems and to understand and apply properties of numbers
- to develop computation and estimation skills
- to use a variety of measurement tools and techniques
- to understand and apply basic and advanced geometry concepts
- to apply statistical concepts
- to understand and use basic and advanced concepts of Algebra and Trigonometry
- to understand the nature and uses of mathematics in the real world
- to understand and use correct mathematical language
We also help prepare our students for college entrance exams and first level college math courses.
