The Dance program at Mazapan School takes place within the elective classes at the end of the day. In our air-conditioned studio with bars, mirrors, wood floors and music, we offer classes twice a week to high school students. In one semester they are exposed to ballet, Latin, and jazz. They learn dance history, choreography concepts, and anatomy for the dancer. Dancers perform at Christmas and in the spring. Students with and without previous experience are invited to participate for a grade. Cecilia Gruessing, MA, who runs the program, has many years of training and experience and has worked as a commercial and international choreographer.
